The recently re-opened Rijksmuseum was a pleasure to visit. The Rijksmuseum has just finished 10 years of renovation and has been very busy each day since, which is understandable. It is a beautiful building and an truly amazing collection of Dutch art – paintings, furniture, and porcelain. This is really a magnificent collection of art, go there, see for yourself and I’m sure that you will agree with me 😉
Rembrandt, Monet, Vermeer and others, right at the tip of your nose.
Buy your ticket before you plan to go to the museum, you can do it online from home or your hotel, but there is still a queue just to get in, so make sure you go early, an prepare to start the day with standing in line…
You can download the app for iPhone, Android and iPad, before you set foot in the Rijksmuseum and browse through the tour to prepare your visit. Or you can use free wifi and get even more from the museum, remember your own headphones and enjoy the 3D – audio experience.
