As we have just returned from Maldives and Paris, we have a lot of different advice and articles for the blog. And we will start out with and post about how to Getting around in Maldives.
We arrived from Paris on our Qatar Airways flight to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport in Male, were our resort Maafushivaru had arranged the sea-plane transfer for us. When going to the Maldives, you have 2 opportunities for transfer from the airport. If you stay near Male and the airport, you can go by boat/ferry, but if you are a bit further away, like the Ari Atoll for example, sea-planes are the way to go. Going to South Ari Atoll would take about 6-7 hours by Dhoni (traditional maldivian boat), but takes only 25 minutes in a direct flight by sea-plane.
