Do you dream of waking up to the sight of the indian sea and a coral reef right in front of your feet? To be able to go snorkeling without even leaving the privacy of your Villa?
Well – we can understand why, we love it our selves, and when we checked into a Water Villa with Jacuzzi at Kuramathi, we were quite pleased with what we saw. The villas are not the biggest we have seen, but they hold everything you need. In the entrance you have a huge wardrobe for your suitcases, a feature a lot of resorts could learn from. Often we don’t have enough space for our suitcases, camera gear and other stuff, but not here – that was just perfect. The bedroom is nice with a kingsize bed, daybeds on the terrasse and inside the villa. Grand bathroom with twin vanities and a vast shower stall with rainfall shower.
Towards south there was a big terrasse in two levels, with a big jacuzzi under the palmtree roof. From the terrasse we could go directly into the indian ocean, when ever we was ready for a swim.
The location for the water villas is right south, just at the very tip of the house reef. So every time we wanted to go snorkeling, it was just a few minutes swim to the corals. The housewife is magnificent, and when you snorkel out though one of the channels, there opens a beautiful underwater world no matter if you turn towards east or west. We have seen quite a few coral reefs so far, but Kuramathis is really something special. Just the vast amount of fish, sharks, turtles and octopus will leave you stunned for hours, while snorkeling around in these crystal clear waters.
So how is it to just hang out for a few days and enjoy life in a Water Villa?
We love the feeling of walking up in the morning, to the sound of the ocean right outside the door, and to be able to enjoy the nature, temperature and air around you. We almost never use the air condition in the villas, but of course there was one present in the Kuramathi Water Villas. In our opinion it is far better to sense the heat and humidity on your skin. After a breakfast and a little relaxation, typically we spend some time snorkeling or chilling in the sun. The luxury of being able to enter the waters right front the villa is always a treat. You can sit in the sun loungers, get your gear ready and slide into the waters from the stair. It doesn’t get much better. The layout of the villas was well disposed, even though they are a little compact. Plenty of space for clothes, big bathroom with an extra glassdoor so you can enter the terrasse directly from the shower, of you want to dip into the jacuzzi – good planning.
Here below is a complete video, where you can see Kuramathi from both the sky, ground and underwater.
