This decade’s most popular spirit is by far the Rum, which together with the huge interest in wines and creative cocktails have set the agenda for what is on the menu to enjoy a drink. Mirihi Island in Maldives has a separate wine bar Ruhgandu that showcases around 300 wines and champagnes, and the resort can arrange wine tastings, private dinners, tapas and everything else you can imagine. Ruhgandu is situated in the corner of Dhonveli, the resident buffet restaurant. The wine bar is a perfect place for a private hangout with your loved one, family or friend for an evening. The decor of the room is simple, classy and invites to spend some time in here. The wines are displayed in some beautiful refrigerators, where you can see some which of the precious drops you would like to taste.
The Anba Bar just beside the restaurant is the Mirihi house bar and a quiet, elegant and cosy place to enjoy a few cocktails before or after dinner. It is also here you can relax with live music in the evening. But Anba holds something unique – a huge rum collection, with over 100 different rums to taste. Mirihi has also made a rum of its own, and can offer a Mirihi Rum Tasting and even supplied with chocolates in the Anba Bar, where some of the staff members are specialized into the world of rum. The selection is very classy presented on the back wall of the bar, together with a selection on a circular table in the middle of the sitting area, where you can glance at the different beautiful bottles.
