We started the day out with a manta ray excursion, which turned more into a boat trip together with hundreds of beautiful dolphins while we were looking forward to Coco Palm Beach Barbecue in the evening.
After a long day in the sun, enjoying the marine life of Maldives, we spend the late afternoon watching the sunset and having one out our numerous photoshoots.
When the skies turned black, and the sun was gone, we changed to our dinner clothes and put our feet in the soft sand on the beach. This night we were set to have dinner at the opposite end of the island, where the staff had set up for the Coco Palm Beach Barbecue that gives you a dying experience out of the extraordinary.
From the distance, we could see the lamps that were set up along the shoreline, the wooden Dhoni used as the base for the side dishes, starters and desserts and the big grill where the chef was working with the different meat, seafood and vegetables.
As we arrived at Coco Palm Beach Barbecue on the other end of the island, the staff was ready to welcome us once more and guide us to the table. Along the beach the tables were set with a good distance between each other, so we didn’t feel disturbed by any of the other guests. The setting was just perfect for a romantic dinner, as the sound of the sea was playing lovely tunes to accompany the food. As mentioned the Dhoni was used as a table for all the different side dishes we could choose from. At the grill, the selection was between shrimp, beef, chicken, fish, lobster amongst other, and we could choose whatever we liked. The waiter just brought the food to our table when is was ready, and a usual the seafood was to kill for. There is no better place to enjoy the wonders of the sea, than a soft white sandy beach in Maldives. Just writing about it makes us hungry.
Look for the weekly activities, when you arrive at Coco Palm, and make sure to book one of the tables to the Coco Palm Beach Barbecue during your stay. The location alone right at the beach is worth it all.
