While staying at Loama Resort in Raa Atoll Maldives, we went out for one of the thing you should do on every trip to paradise – Fishing in Maldives – on this trip during sunset. Late one afternoon we boarded on one of the Loama Dhoni’s and sailed out into the remote atoll for some Fishing in Maldives. The sail trip itself is beautiful and you see the island from another angle. After 20 minutes, we were at the reef where we supposed to catch our dinner for the night, and the anchor was thrown. Honestly, at first, we were afraid that we had to turn in for the night, quite hungry as there was no reaction at all on our fishings lines. The concept of this form of the excursion is that you catch your dinner, and the chef team prepare the fish after you arrive back at the island.
Fishing in Maldives is a great experience, where you get to taste some of all the wonderful creatures that you meet while diving or snorkeling. Well as mentioned when we dropped our lines into the Indian ocean, we thought that we had to go hungry to bed that evening. The first hour or so, nothing happened, besides the beauty of the setting sun. But then the action started. As soon as the sun touched the horizon the fish started biting our bait and quite fast we convinced that dinner for the night was secured. Quite fast we had 7 or 8 different fish in our box, ready for the chefs on land.
After an hour Fishing in Maldives, we all had by far enough fish and the Dhoni turned back towards Loama again. During the trip back the guys on the Dhoni arranged which rich we wanted to be prepared and in what style, along with advice for how the different fish was best. When we arrived at the island, we went back to our villa, had a shower and changed before we went to Fazaa restaurant. Our catch was grilled and fried, served together simple side dishes. A fresh and tasteful dinner.
